| "2 SUN 10 STEP KIASA JAPANESE PUZZLE BOX" Description:
There are two crafts to Japanese Puzzle Boxes: the box making, and the marquetry on the outside of the box. Master Craftsmen make the box, and purchase the marquetry wood box covers to apply to the puzzle box. Although both are part of the quality of the box, it is the box making that truly indicates craftsmanship. The same beauty can be on the outside, but the quality of the puzzle box can be quite different between a Master Craftsman and an Apprentice.
There are a limited number of Master Craftsmen in Japan, who work for decades as an Apprentice, to learn to make each box with great fit and with great finish. Hiroyuki Oka, the maker of this puzzle box, is one of the finest.
This puzzle box has a particularly nice finish, and has exquisite quality. With the marquetry at an angle, it is particularly pleasing!
With 4 moves, which become easy with practice, you will want to fill this gem with items that you will use often!
