How To Play CAMELOT JUNIOR:
- Choose a challenge. Place the red and orange towers as indicated. Don't forget! Where you see a bat you must leave a gap for it in the base of the game.
- Place the knight and princess in position as directed by your challenge. Use only the blocks shown at the top of the challenge page. Move the remaining blocks out of the way as they must not be used to solve the challenge.
- Create a path for the knight and his princess to be reunited. All possible solutions can be found on the flipside of each challenge.
Rules to Remember:
The knight can only walk on stairways or on top of a wall. He cannot jump down or climb on walls.
The blocks may be used standing upright as well as lying down. The stairways must not be place on their pointed edges, but thy may be placed upside down to create a straight path on top.
All blocks must be placed inside an imaginary grid with their printed sides towards you.
The final result must be stable. This means that your construction must be able to stand on its own, even if you would take out all other blocks left and right.
Neither the knight nor the princess may be moved until all blocks are placed. After that, the knight must be able to walk over your construction directly to get to the princess.
All blocks pictured in the challenge card must be used. The round holes in the towers and on the gameboard are not to be seen as obstacles. They are only used to position the towers correctly. Therefore, the knight can walk over these holes without any problem.

A NOTE FROM LAURI:
Helpful hints to parents and adults for CAMELOT JUNIOR: You won't help your kids by building the challenges yourself! Instead, help your kids by asking questions like, "Where do you think the big tower could go?" If a challenge seems too hard, have kids turn to the solution and try working backwards. By looking at the solution, children will learn new building techniques which will help them understand more fully what is and isn't permitted in the game! |
