Workbook Levels:
LEVEL A: Grades 3-6. Level A is the beginning level. It includes puzzles where kids are solving for three colors (i.e. three variables). The first puzzles in the book are easier, and the complexity increases throughout the book.
There are 150 puzzles in the book, 3 puzzles per page. The solutions are in the back of the book.
LEVEL B: Grades 4-7. Level B is the more advanced version. It includes puzzles where kids are solving for four or five colors (i.e. four or five variables). Consistent with algebra, there are always the number of equations as there are variables to solve. The first puzzles in the book are much easier to "warm up" the brain, and the complexity increases quickly and is sustained throughout the book.
There are 100 puzzles in the book, 2 puzzles per page. The solutions are in the back of the book.

A NOTE FROM LAURI:
Our family loved these books! I started my 4th grader, who loves math, on Level A because I wasn't sure of the right level for him. We ended up using just 6-8 pages picked throughout the book before moving to Level B, which was the right level for him to use the entire book. He LOVED the puzzle codes. They are a very different logic puzzle than he has seen anywhere else, and he really enjoyed them.
Reproducible, BUT... These pages are reproducible, but remember that you will have to reproduce them in color because color is key to solving the codes. If it is expensive for you to make color copies, consider other solutions for re-use, such as laminating the pages, or placing the pages in plastic sheet protectors and using washable markers.
