I believe in providing tools to bright, gifted children. Providing tools and teaching kids how to use them helps them be independent, and allows them to keep their pace of learning going without getting stuck.
I believe every kid should have a math tool kit that they will use throughout their math years. Kids benefit from having tools that they can pull out when the need arises. Since geometry is typically a math topic included in the math curriculum for each grade during elementary school, middle school, and into high school, providing geometric tools is a good investment for them.
These geometric solids are a tool that should be included in the math tool kit for today's kids. Along with their ruler, compass, and protractor, kids will LOVE having these tactile foam solid shapes to touch and use as a reference for years to come.
These solids are a very nice large size. For example, the cube is 2.75" on each side, and the cylinder, triangular prism, and square prism are all 5.5" long. The solid shapes come in a tub that is about 7" in diameter and 10" tall, which has a top that pulls off and pushes back on.
The instructions and seven worksheet set is very detailed, great for kids and teachers! In addition to the shapes, and the nice storage bin container, the instructions and worksheets are a great addition for teachers and students! |
