| OWI "SUPER SOLAR RACE CAR" Non-Soldering Beginner Robotics Kit
Encourage your young engineer with this fun-to-assemble robotics kit!
Explore the fundamentals of solar energy with this lively car! Engage your active, kinesthetic learner!
Requiring only 6 easy steps to assemble, this super car introduces basic mechanics and solar energy to kids.
First, attach the front wheels to the front shaft, and the rear wheels to the rear shaft. Some people find that they need to use a light touch with a hammer to ensure a solid attachment.
Next, place the sponge on the top of the car body top.
Insert the motor into the pinion gear.
Place the solar panel on top of the sponge, which is on the car body top.
Snap the motor/gear into place in the car body bottom chassis.
Snap the car body top onto the car body bottom chassis.
You are READY TO GO!
Because the car is very light, it will ZOOM! Your child will quickly learn that outside in sunny weather the car is at full energy. Inside, using 100w halogen bulbs, the car works but takes time to energize.
Encourage your young scientist to use the car to experiment with solar energy. Have them try the car on cloudy days, shady locations, indirect sunlight, or under a fluorescent light. Sadly, they will learn that these do not produce the light energy required for the car to work.
A very fun science fair experiment for active kids!
Perfect stocking stuffer! An original idea for a behavior or contest award at home, in school, in classrooms, at clubs, or in boy scouts.
Product Notes:
No batteries required. Sometimes a hammer, using a light touch, is helpful to attach the wheels to the shafts.
