FIND IT! ABC combines a puzzle and game into one highly educational, interactive learning experience.
First assemble the puzzle, then play the game using the enclosed 2-sided game pieces that match the objects located on the puzzle's borders.
Kids can play the game in two ways. First is an Object Recognition Game, were kids place a game piece over the matching object on the puzzle border. Second is a Word Recognition Game, where kids flip over the game piece to see the name of the object and place it on the matching object on the puzzle border.

Game Directions:
- Assemble! Have your child assemble the puzzle. Parental involvement may be needed depending upon the age of the child.
- Talk about it! Once assembled, the puzzle becomes a "talk about" puzzle, as there are many images in the scene to promote parent-child conversation.
- Play the game! Place all of the enclosed game pieces alongside the completed puzzle with the pictures facing up. As your child locates the objects pictured on the border of the puzzle within the scene, have your child find the corresponding picture game piece and place it on top of the same image on the border. Play continues until all objects have been matched!
- More advanced play when your child is ready! As an additional activity, place the game pieces alongside the completed puzzle with the words facing up. As your child locates the objects pictured on the border of the puzzle within the scene, have your child find the corresponding word game piece and place it on top of the same image on the border. Play continues until all objects have been matched!
A NOTE FROM LAURI:
Pieces are a nice size. The puzzle is 5 x 10 puzzle pieces in size, and each puzzle piece is about 3.5" by 4.5". (The assembled size of the puzzle is 2' x 3'.) The game pieces are about 1.25" square. Little hands are easily able to manipulate the puzzle and game pieces!
Different levels of play give longer life to the game. There are basically three levels of difficulty that give this puzzle/game longer life. Younger children will be challenged to put the puzzle together. Additional challenge is added by matching the images. Still more challenge is built in by having kids match words to the ABC letters. Great stuff!
Combines math and language, left and right brain skills. I really like the complexity from the puzzle and game combination. Math skills (matching) are used to assemble the puzzle pieces and match the images, combined with language skills of learning letters and words.
Keeps the learning fun! This is a great pull-it-out, put-it-away-for-even-more-fun-later opportunity. Once your child has mastered each level of difficulty, you can either continue with the next level, or you can put it away and pull it out a little later. Kids will love the images and look forward to pulling it out the next time, especially when there is something new and fun to try! |
