Complex matching game & puzzle. Kids are matching from a 2D picture and figuring out how to build a 3D structure. This is a more complex activity than most matching games, and great for kids that need more challenge. Building each picture in the book is really figuring out puzzles of increasing difficulty. Kids feel real satisfaction when the puzzles are figured out!
High quality book. This book version includes only the TANGRAMINO BOOK. It is assumed that you already have the building pieces. The spiral book is sturdy and excellent quality, and includes the introductory instructions and 64 illustrations at 6 progressive levels of difficulty. The book is great because you can easily lay it flat or have it stand vertically on the table, depending on your preference! For each illustration, you are shown which pieces you should use and how many. The solutions are in the back of the book if you need to check your solution!
Great for boys, Terrific for girls! The manufacturer told me that although TANGRAMINO is designed for boys and girls, girls tend to like it more. After looking at the illustrations I understand why. Although the vast majority of illustrations are geometric and architectural in nature including a few hand tools like a hammer and wrench, there are also illustrations that look like a basket, mouse, cat, duck, comb, houses, birds, flowers, and figures of people.
Visual spatial learners will love it. Each TANGRAMINO puzzle is completely visual - you see the picture to build and a picture of what pieces and how many you should use. Since the majority of the population are visual spatial learners, this is a product that is great for all kids, and especially great for kids who need activities that are not dependent upon language.
A great investment to build upon. An additional nice feature is that this book is part of a family of products. Once you have the building blocks, which you purchase as part of the ARCHITECTO GAME, you can purchase additional books (TANGRAMINO BOOK, EQUILIBRIO BOOK, CLICKO BOOK) for a whole new set of additional puzzles to use with the same building blocks.
