A NOTE FROM LAURI:
There are two American Trivia games: American Trivia and American Trivia Junior. They are both great games, with distinctly different levels of difficulty. We have used both games to play "just for fun", as a way to get ready for the Geography Bee, and as a way to pass the time in the car by just using the cards and not the game board to ask the questions.
American Trivia vs American Trivia Junior. American Trivia has more difficult questions (ages 16+), and includes one more category (Art) than the Junior version. The four categories for American Trivia are Geography, History, Art, and General Knowledge. The American Trivia Junior categories are Geography, History and General Knowledge. Sample questions for each game are included under their "Learn More" tabs.
Excellent Game Quality. The game cards are a stiff paper quality, with questions on one side and answers on the back side. The words "Questions" and "Answers" are printed in the margin of the respective sides. The game boards for both games are exactly the same except for the color (blue for American Trivia, red for American Trivia Junior). The boards are sturdy and seem very durable, and fold into fourths to fit into the square box.
Great for GeoBee Practice. The Geography Bee contest is sponsored each year by National Geographic® starting in the January time-frame. This game is great practice in preparation for those competing in the contest.
A fun homeschool game to learn geography and history. For those who are homeschooling, both American Trivia and American Trivia Junior are great games as fun learning experiences! |
